EUKLID-extending your skills

Today in class we learned how to create and measure triangles also learned how to create "Tic-Tac-Toe". We learned the difference between similar and congruent. Do you know the different types of triangles and quadrilaterals? If not you can learn them in this video and see what makes them different. Around the 13 minutes mark Mr.M shows how to make an Isosceles Triangle. You might think that just making a triangle is not useful your probably right until you measure the sides, bottom, angles, and base angles to make it a useful learning diagram. Next Mr.M showed how to create a "Tic-Tac-Toe" diagram. He explained that he wants you to find the relationships in the diagram. Around the 18 to 19 minute mark he went back to EUKLID and created the diagram showing various things like how to name points and creating intersections.

Creating things in EUKLID

So today we learned how to use/create things on euklid, and properly measure angles with a protractor. Here are the notes that we took during class in case you missed them. There's a video below showing how to use the euklid program.
-Make sure you understand the difference between parallel and perpendicular lines.
- There will be an accelerated math test this Friday :/
