Duston's Solution

For my area maximization problem I measured the one end of the computer power cord and I found the length to be 5ft, so what i did was I entered that into excel and I found the length to be 1.25 and the width to be 1.25 also. My total area came out to be 1.5625 SQ. FT.

I messured my headphones which had a length of 3 feet. The maximum area I could get with this length was 0.5625 square feet with a length and width of 0.75 feet.

Fencing

I used my IPod cord witch was 3 feet long when I used the spreadsheet my width was 0.75 and the length was o.75 as well. The maximum area is 0.5625 Square feet

Fencing Problem - Brittany's solution

I measured the internet connection cord. It was about 60 cm long. The maximum area is 225 cm. Each side of the perimeter fencing will be 15 cm.

Quon's Fencing

i used the mouse cord for my project and i measured it to about 57 inches the maximum area 203.0625 the width is 14.25 inches and the length is 14.25 inches

Fencing Question

I used the formula for area when I measured my head phones I got 35 cm of cord. So I took the formula y=((35-2x)/2)*x and plugged that into graph matica. When I found the vertex I got a width of 8.75 and a area of 76.56. The width and lengh are exactly the same too.

Solution to Maximization Problem

I used my keychain which is 20 cm in length. My width was 5.30 and my area was 25.

Colette's Solution

I measured my key chain it was around 2 feet so i rounded it to 2. My best solution to maximize the perimeter was 0.5 in width & 0.5 in length which it maximized to 0.25ft squared.

Hey so I have completed my assignment on "fencing" and this is what I have come up with.
By using the cord on the mouse I measured 5 feet. By using graphmatica and the formula my solution is 1.25 feet.
